Identify this oil Pump please!!

A bolt on the intermediate shaft backed out and yardsaled the right side timing chain. So the rebuild began. Found all sorts of stuff going on in there so I'm glad I got in here anyway. I can seem to find any info on the pump I found in there. Also wondering if they make any kind of rebuild kits for them or of they can be sent out. Also, anyone have an old aluminum case intermediate shaft??
Thanks in advance,
Nabil

That looks like the "3 rib" early 1968-76 pump.

Oil pump looks like the std '68-'76 magnesium version.

The rough surface and silver color seems to indicate that you have an early sand cast aluminum pump.
If no high performance modifications are intended for this engine this pump will work fine.
Check the pump for wear and send it to Supertec for a our high flow modification and you're good to go.
Of course if money is no object, you could buy another pump (just because you read somewhere.....yada yada yada)

With these engine overhauls, that is always the issue. How much money will I need to put into my engine to perform a quality overhaul?
The list of what ifs is endless and many of the so called upgrades offer little or nothing in the overall performance or longevity (reliability) of you engine.

Building a racing engine? the sky's the limit.
Rebuilding a week end fun car? why break the bank?

Well, I'm going to be the forum nazi......

Henry - Your right, the body of the pump appears to be aluminum but the shap (some ribs and extra brawny casting in some spots) makes it look like a later (68-77) pump. the gears look o.k. but here and there you can see a nick or two. Do you rebuild them? what kind of improvements can one expect from the high flow mod that you offer? I like the idea of sending this off to you henry. I'll call.
