Why doesn't Pelican sell this?
Firstly I'm sorry for double posting this (also in the 911 tech section), but I'm in a jam, and if it helps I've already bought and read 2 of Waynes books. Does everyones rebuild/modify book come autographed? Thanks Wayne.
![]() I'm in the process of redoing the oil cooling on my 914 3.2 conversion. I'd like to remove the on-engine cooler and replace it with a larger after-market unit. I've seen a plate which bolts in this location and provides two AN-16 (or similar) fittings to run hoses to the new cooler, but I cannot for the life of me find it now. Smart racing comes the closest with a kit to relocate the oil filter to this area, I could then run a more standard oil filter relocation kit from there but the correct plate would be a much nicer solution. I really need to get this peice in a hurry and will be extremely grateful for any help. Thank you! Also feel free to debate the merits of this idea as it bumps my thread and I may then find the part sooner. ![]() |

I know the piece you're talking about but can't remember where I saw it either. Did you check with Patrick racing in AZ or BAT in FLA?

I think that it is a 'factory' part from a 3.6..... 964 or 993.
correction.... 930.107.205.1R - is the part that replaces the engine oil cooler with an oil filter/blockoff. I think we used machined adapters to go from the AN fittings to the feed and return lines. Last edited by dad911; 04-13-2008 at 05:00 PM.. Reason: correction.... |
