How can you clean fuel rails?
Have some fuel rails I'm going to be using and I notice rust forming in them. Can these be cleaned up? If so, where?

Are they the ones used on a 3.2? If so, you can clean them at home just fine. Make sure to plug all of the holes, so you don't get any crap or anything else, inside the fuel rails. I have used a soft, wire wheel, brush either on my bench grinder or on one of my angle or side-grinders. Clean the rusted spots down to clean metal and give the rest a good general cleaning. If you want a "factory new"type of look, there are paint kits that will closely resemble the original yellowish colored, cadmium plating. If not that, you could prime and then use almost any color of paint for engines or transmissions, due to the heat that the fuel rails will be subjected to. It should come out really nice. Good luck!! Tony.

You been running a lot of fuel with alcohol in it? May have since thats about all you can get now. Most likely your tank and lines are a but rusty too. You could shake some lead or steel shot in it to clean it up but its going to come right back I would guess. I always run a shot of MM oil with the fuel.
