putting my 3.8 back together.

I just replaced the bearings, rings and all new seals in my 3.8 rsr motor. thought I'd share a few pics.

The motor is from my 914 track car. 12.5:1 comp. twin plug, endurance RSR size valves, Web Cam 171/149, cams(center drilled), carrillo rods, ITB's with motec efi and more.

Looks sweet!

That's got to be a beast in a 914!

What are you putting to the wheels?

SCOOTER... nice work. Seen a few 914-6s... yours is tops. Clean set up... very nice. 3.8 in that weight is g-force terrific. Compliments.

Looking at your config brings back very fond memories. Worked on a rear end mod for a 14-6 with a similar high wing like yours some years ago. Using your 6 as base, it looked like this (below.) I know some like visual mods and others are offended. If offending, I'll delete.

Yeah, I bought it a few years ago. I have the excellence issue from Nov. 2002 I contacted the original owner last year just to touch base.... Nice Guy!

The car only has about 137 hours since the build in 2001.. I just figured i'd freshen up everything this winter and hit the ground rolling this spring.

Where do I buy one? The highly molested 914 doesn't get enough cred. What's it like to drive this thing? Please use as many analogs to lawn tools as you can.
