Re terminate magnecor wires?

I have a set of magnecor wires i'd like to shorten. Can I cut and re terminate them my self. I'm assuming the spark plug end is screwed on.

Magnacore wires I've seen look like the spark plug boots have a little glue or sealant on them where the wires fit into them. I don't think they thread on like the BERU ones do but I don't know I never tried to twist them off.

Take the distributor cap silicone boots off or push them up the wire a little ways, cut the wires to your length and recrimp the brass connectors in a bench vise or with vice grips.
I've done it with generic wires and with a kit from MSD for making your own low reisistance silicone jacket custom wire set.
The MSD kit comes with a two piece metal tool you put in a bench vice for crimping the connectors on to the end of the wires.

Be careful stripping the fragile spiral core resistance wire. There's usually two layers of silicone jacketing over the wire with fiberglass strands in between them.

Fold about 1/2" to 3/4" of the spiral wire core over the side, put the brass connector over it and squeeze/crimp it real tight in place.
