The motor is in and the car is alive after almost 2 years. It started right up and is running well, both ignition boxes are firing and oil pressure is good. The car pulls really hard from 3.5K Rpm up and gives a really good kick after 6Krpm, and 8K comes up really quick after that. All in all i am very happy with the motor and it was worth the wait. I have my first DE with the BMW club next weekend at Road Atlanta and will let you know how that went. Cheers Gert

Gert:
Solid mechanical tensioners have a really bad rap around here... But I just bought a vintage pair myself. What made you decide to use solids? t
