Get the right Goetze rings for your pistons & cylinders.

You didn't say precisely what you have and what problems you are having so its tough to offer specific suggestions and solutions.

In some cases, the ring gaps must be measured and filed to fit.

Where (in the bore) did you make your measurements?

Sounds to me like you need to talk to your supplier about that situation as you may have received the wrong ones.

I bought them from our host...

The print label says 85 mm std 2.2 lts

I just want to get the correct ones since in a previous post someone told me that the goetze are not as good as the used ones some times.

So... Shall I get a new set again??

There have been some QC problems with Goetze so you'll need to measure the thickness of the old rings and piston ring lands to see which ones fit best.

In some cases, I buy the parts from the Dealer as they are usually better than the aftermarket versions.

The new ones are thicker and they feel stronger.. but with that gap they'll be useless so I want to get a new set.. but can you suggest me a place where I can buy them (which dealer)?

Any & all Porsche dealers source from the same place: the factory in Germany.

Choose the one you like.

Here's a couple places to try. You may need to open an account.

Deves rings dont fit nicer either... Should I get a new set of Goetze... I've checked mittelmotor, but I'm worried about that they might be the same as the old ones I got...

The first Goetze set had bigger gaps than they should, shall I install these no matter the gaps?

I think you just got a bad pair of Goetze rings. Actually, if you buy Genuine porsche rings, they are made by Goetze!!

I can recommend Mittelmotor. Great guys who know what they're talking about, but the rings from our host should be the same ones. Maybe a stupid question, but do you have STD pistons? If they are oversized....

I used Goetze and they fitted well.

Good luck!
