o-ring under cylinder
i am rebuilding my 965 turbo engine,
i recently received some parts from my Porsche dealer they send me Black O-rings to fit under the cylinder. they were Green that was mounted there, did i get the wrong part? or have Porsche change in there system? |

I believe the (superior) green viton O'ring supercedes the black O'ring atleast in the case of a 964. It would appear your engine was rebuilt in the past as the original black ones from the factory were replaced with green viton.

how can you be sure the rebuild kits contaain the good O rings? i have read about several people buying kits and then having to get the green O rings

You need to buy a premium gasket kit that contains all Viton O-rings & seals instead of the normal silicone or neoprene.

is that available at pelican and does it have EVERYTHING, minus rings for a top end rebuild?
this is what i was looking from pelican 930-100-907-03-M17
