Nuts, lock washers, spring washers, cylinder head nuts
It's a slow news day, so.... nuts, washers, lock washers, spring washers, cylinder head nuts - All of these things are specified in PET as the official fasteners to attach the transmission to the engine!
What I found interesting was the configuration on the non-starter side of the assembly. On the upper transmission stud you use an M10 nut and regular washer. But on the lower stud, you use a regular washer, a lock washer and a nut. Why the difference? Over on the studs that hold the starter, you use two cylinder head nuts and spring washers. Why not lock washers? JB

I know - me neither - but it's right there in PET! Makes one wonder what other odd things you could find there....
