Would any 2.2L parts be useful in 3L build?

Thanks in advance to everyone for their replies.

I was on my way to rebuilding my '71 911e when I realized that the engine that came with the car is a T engine.

Since it is not the original engine to the car I recently picked up a complete running, supercharged, Mfi 2.4L engine that I plan to run in the car.

I decided that I would use the 2.2T motor in my 21 Window Vw Bus but have changed plans again and picked up an '82 3L engine from a fellow Pelican. I am going to sell the 2.2 in parts since it was going to require cylinders, heads, rebuild kits, etc, figuring it will help fund the 3L.

The 3L is in parts so, my question is since both engines are apart, are there any parts from the T engine that I may want to use in the 3L? It seems somewhat obvious to me that the answer is no. I just thought I would post this question to see if there are any tricks that I may be missing. I already plan to use the earlier exhaust with the 3L and sell the '82 with the cat.
Thanks,
Christopher

The rockers and their shafts are about the only thing and those have been updated by the time 3.0 came out. You can use the steel head studs on the bottom row of 3.0 head studs.

Depending on the chassis you use the engine in, I would think the ancillary items, oil cooler, sheet metal, alternator, fan & housing as well as the exhaust might prove to be better suited.
As for the rest, I'd agree and say there is very little of use in a 2.2 T core.

The 2.2T heads have the larger ports (like the 2.2/2.4E heads). Some folks like to use these as cores for a higher performance rebuild on a carb motor.

Do you mean on a Carb'd 3L?

No...The 2.2T heads would not work on a 3 liter.

They are resalable to folks who are adding performance to their 2.4T motors.
