Question Is this spam?

What kind of tear down? If you are talking cleaning and bagging everything for a rebuild, you could double the times below. If you are just taking about tearing crap apart and having everything lying in pieces on the garage floor then probably split the times in half. A good dismantler with the right tools and just leaving the parts were they may fall could get it apart real fast.

Experienced mechanic with a novice to bring him tools and pick up messes 2-3 hours.

Experienced mechanic: 6 hours

Novice with a guide book and an experienced mechanic to provide guidance: 12 hours.

Novice with a guide book: 24 hours

Novice: 72 hours
