value of a 3.0 930 case

Does anyone have an idea of the value of a 1976 930 case? I'm not sure wether to build it stock or sell it and let some one make a race engine out of it.

It is very desirable as the only platform other than a 3.0 RSR case which is Aluminum (stronger) and has the necessary head stud spacing and bore spacing for a 2.8 short stroke using the high-revving 66mm stroke crankshaft.

I think they have to be in the $2000 plus range by now. I found one a few years ago for $1800 and I was happy with that price. I have seen some sell for as much as $2500 in the past year.

This is also a great fit for a 914/6 because the flywheel options work with the cranks that fit this case.

Stay tuned,
