911 Case main bearing reamer

Seeking a picture of the OE. Porsche hand reamer that was supplied with the original Porsche engine case in-line bore equipment - This is a hand setup where a ø35mm shaft is mounted and aligned in the case centerline with a fixture system on each end of the case.

Do some one have a picture of the set or just the reamer to determine the how the helix , , lead , OD land and clamping are made on the reamer ??

Thanks in advance !
Roslin

The item sounds very much like the old VW tool.
It clamped on to the two outer bearing surfaces to start with (to do the center bearing) and then clamped to the back and center to do the front....etc.
As I remember...it was driven by a heavy duty drill and used cutting oil to get a smooth finish.
The case was prepped by milling both halves of the case to get the bearing surfaces down to undersize.

And all these years I thought Bear or Walt at CE invented the shave and rebore to standard method. VW beat them to it.

Here is a pic of my cutter, I first support the boring bar with special made centering plugs in #1 and #8 and bore the center mains then move the support to #2 and #7 and bore both ends..
