Through Bolts/Studs
Folks-
after pulling some studs after the glue was on during my last build up, I decided to time sert everything I could. However there are three studs that are M10 1.25 that get the same torque as the through bolts that thread into the case. They are set deep into the bearing saddles. How do folks put time serts into the case for those three studs ? Special extension for the taps ? |

And the motor is a mag case 2.7.

Ollies
Spoke with the folks over at Ollies and they have a special tool they made up for inserting case savers into those spots. $ 50 for all three. Looks like I will be boxing up the cases for a trip to Havasu City.

Might have them check it all over for main bore and such unless you have the tools for the task. Darn good chance it will need some work.
