Seal Install Damage?
Did I just damage this seal installing it into the No. 8 nose bearing?
Or is it common and OK that some of the rubber ribs caught and cut on the outer surface? ![]()

It's very common. The install is not perfect but you should be fine.
Next time use Dow o-ring lubricant on the outside of the seal.
