Cam Tower Caps

Looking for sources of Billet cam caps. I have a set from Instant G, but I think that was a one time deal, and now I need one for the race engine. Where might one find these? Clewett, Smart Racing??

Thanks!

Andrew

How many do you need? I have a cam blockoff plate coming off of my cam tower.

No problem. Just bought a press in cap to replace the bolt-in cover plate on my tower. So mine will be in the classifieds right soon.

Andrew,

Here's a picture of mine. It's got the o-ring seal like Jimmy's, but not as elegant. His is machined to mirror the shape of the camshaft housing, whereas mine is simply round.

It has an o-ring groove that measures 1.678 ID and 1.926 OD. But i'm not sure the o-ring is absolutely necessary because the camshaft retainer gasket (the one used behind the big round plate inside the chain housing) works too. But, I suspect the o-ring idea results from an o-ring's ability to be sourced most anywhere (and can be reused in a pinch), compared to the Porsche-specific cam gasket? I'll include a gasket since i've got a number of extras. Also can have the M6 screws used with it.

$60 shipped to you?

BTW, speaking of SmartRacing? I went to their website shortly ago........... NO LONGER AVAILABLE. @#$%, that sucks BIGTIME

PM'd you also.

I heard SRP got absorbed by Flying Lizards awhile back and their interest in continuing the SRP old car support apparently isn't there anymore. Bummer.......

FYI,

I called the on line number before the new year and reached a human. They filled my order at that time.
