Engine build.....one step closer!

I'm now one step closer to being ready to start my engine build. UPS dropped this off a couple of days ago! A 1000 lb capacity engine stand. I already had the Porsche engine mounting adapter (and the car). An appropriate capacity engine hoist and 3-4 minor engine tools are next.

My SC is the (original) black metallic color. It got a total, bare metal, glass out repaint last year.

Hey Fred-

What's the reason for the rebuild? Just upgrading or did you tire it out?

The engine in my SC has two broken head studs. After being in that condition for the
last 14 years (!) and finally developing a major oil leak I decided to do the rebuild. The finished product will be a 3.3 ltr SS with ported Carrera twin plug heads, 964 cams, and Electromotive XDi direct fire ignition. Exhaust will be SSI with a 2 in 1 out muffler and the fuel will flow in via a large port CIS intake box and runners. Cylinders are the LN Engineering 100mm slip fit versions and the pistons are 10.1:1 Mahle. All this should wake it up a bit!
