I have at 3 litre injected sc I am in the process of doing a weber conversion and was hoping someone could help me with cam advice

Are you keeping the stock pistons?

If so, the biggest cams you can use in there is the 964 grind, and with a good exhaust system, gives very nice performance.

Lots of other variables come into play when selecting the cam. But Steve makes the best point to start- what pistons are you using.

If you get some pistons that are more carb-likeable, S cams are a nice tried and true choice. They are peaky on the smaller 2.0, 2.2L engines. But in the larger displacement engines the peakiness is much less prominent.

I had S cams (actually WebCam's 149S grind) in my 3.2SS for a number of years. It made nice power and could hold its own against larger torquier engines like 3.6 993s and BMW M3s. Mostly because we are regulated by weight/power ratio.

I swapped to WebCam 120/104 last season, which is said to be a hot street/club race cam, and it seemed to have a broader power band. Can't provide much else feedback on that cam because I blowed up the engine after one race weekend..... But I won so it had to be not too bad?
