ID This Mahle Piston, please.

I started tearing down a 911/07 engine today. It should be a 2.2T. It's not. I find that I have 80mm P/Cs of the Mahle Biral variety. I believe this to be an E piston, yes?

Flip it up and look down on the underside of the crown. There should be some cast identifying numbers/letters. andy

It looks like a 2.0 liter E piston from 69. It's a cast piston and would have used the biral cylinder

Are you sure it's not a 901/07? I think that is a 68L .... It would have the same pistons as the 69E and would be a 2 liter

It's built from parts. It has T cams, 2.0 T heads with casting dates from '67 to '70 and I think it has a CW crankshaft.
