More progress on phenolic injector spacers. Quick question. Is it better to cut 6mm off the billet injector block or buy new intake studs 6mm longer?

Question Guys. Will be adding SDS EFI in the coming month. I plan on keeping my short neck Intercooler. What is best way to incorporate the diverter valve? Should I keep the entire assembly, or perform the procedure by Mark Houghton? My current diverter has been disabled
by the previous owner. 964 Blowoff valve Elbow, the diverter has been bolted closed. There is a bolt in the cap plate, threaded into the piston. I just wonder if I did the Mark Houghton mod would boost come on any quicker? Boost comes on around 3200-3300 rpm. Thanks in advance. John |
More progress today. Ceramic coating on piston tops, and DFL on piston skirts.
Used Techline Coatings, CBC-1 Ceramic Coating for piston tops, and DFL-1 for piston skirts. Ceramic coatings on heads is next. Then onto reassembly. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1394162844.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1394162863.jpg |

how did u "polish" these...? by hand or have it tumbled...? looks great...now to keep it looking like that will require some attention as u use the car...well worth it I think so..

I used a red, then gray scotchbrite pad, then polished it with Mother's Chrome Polish.
Used a buffing wheel. Hopefully it will last a while, with occasional touch up. Thanks J |
Nice job on the polishing. You'll want to protect it with something like Gibbs or SharkHide because the magnesium alloy loses its shine pretty quickly.
What specs did you go by for the pump shaving? |
