turbo on a Standard engine
hello gays
i have a question did any one tried to boost , low boost no more then 0.5 bar on a standard 3.0 liter engine? I believe there's a lot of experience over here that can save me a lot of issues thank you all where can i get rear tires for wide body i need 245/45 or 40/15 i have looked all over and didnt success to locate them |

The short answer to your question is, yes.
Spend some time searching over on the turbo side of this forum, and you'll find many great examples. Good luck.

saw that and didn't want to comment ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Is it really worth doing this ,surely the compression ratio of the stock N/A motor (somewhat low)would still cause issues without a modern control system (ie expensive )to run it,the 930 motor is built for this afterall???

It will work very well as long as it will not have detonation. With engine management and fully controlled fuel and ignition even higher boost is possible (~0.7-0.8 bars) but eventually you will run into clutch issues.
Of course, intercooler is must-have, but I couldn't imagine ANY turbo project without one...

Hi, I´m not gay but I will leave my comment here
![]() make sure your cylinders are nikasil instead alusil. normally the nikasil cylinders is used with oem forged pistons. so you would be fine with low boost. also stay away from dilavar head studs, stick to steel studs! good luck on the Project! TH |
