I love that Ben has made these beautiful SS heat exchangers for the larger engines in 914's. I know I want a set of these for my original '71 Six which will be running a 3.2 motor when it is finished. Unfortunately, my original heat exchangers have been restored and ceramic coated so they will be going on the car for now. Once the car is finished and back in my garage.....then maybe Ben's 1 5/8" heat exchangers will make it onto my car. But it needs to be finished and in my garage first. Thank you Ben for tackling this project and looking out for us 914-6ers.

Amazing fabrication. I see you merged your primaries without resorting to adding a separate collector piece. Should I infer that a real "collector" isnt needed to merge pipes and maintain a high level of performance?

Just copying the orginal oem layout.. A burns style collector would have been ideal but trying to look as close to original as possible although heater boxes are squared they still fit and function the same

We have two sets on order.
I'm looking forward to testing what appears to be a top quality and seriously needed product. All of the products I've ordered from Ben in the past have been of the highest quality.

They look terrific and of course I am sure the larger diameter tubing will keep the 3,2 running nice and the heat flowing for those cool Fall days driving with the top off. It will be interesting to see what Henry finds out.

What does a set of these cost? It got down in the 60's last night and the heat-delete and headers on my 914 is not a favorable option to keep my lovely wife in the passenger seat / and maybe not for the 6 conversion underway... cheers
