88 3.2 Cylinder Head Gasket

I don't remember while disassembling the engine it has a cylinder head gasket. Even the Rebuilding gasket kit doesn't have the cylinder head gasket.

head gasket 3.2

There is a repair headgasket for the 3.2.Part # 930-104-381-01.It is 0.50 mm thick with a silicone type coating for better seal.If you have to resurface the head & the top of the cylinder this gasket will keep the height correct.Work great on Turbo motors.Fred

That number comes up for a 964, will that work with the 3.2?

head gasket

Hi Craig,I am going off memory on the part #.Originally used these on 3.2.Opened them up to 97.98 & 100 mm to use as head gasket on all kinds of applications.Maybe I am off by a digit on the number.I am in C.R. for a few more weeks.I have them on the shelf so I will get the number then.Great gasket with no leaks or sweat.I have used at least 100 sets with perfect results.Only buy Porsche O.E.M as the aftermarket ones do not have the coating.I believe the originals are made of Incanel.Fred

I would like the head gasket as on option for a customer. I have a set of heads in that had the sealing surfaces so poorly cut they will be at -.50mm when done. It's either thicker base gaskets or some type of head gasket?

Fred is correct that part number is a head gasket for the 964 Turbo. It's number 8 in the diagram for the M30.69 turbo engine

Masters CGarr & KTL,

Won't the gasket require a slot in the head to accommodate the gasket ( aka heat ring ), like the 964 head?

I don't think the head gasket in question (M30-69 engine) will work on a 3.2. Gasket is designed for 97mm bores.

I measured the ID of head gasket... approx. 97.135mm
