Outside Temp Sensor

I recently bought a 2001 330Ci, and the ouside temperature sensor is missing and constantly reads -40 degress. Is this a hard fix? Any suggestions would be appreciated (what part to buy, etc.).

Reach inside your brake cooling ducts, the sensor mounts there but I never can remember which side. I think it is driver duct inboard side of the duct.
