BMW Roundel 540i ambient temp sensor

Has anyone installed an ambient temp sensor? I'm wondering how difficult it is. I don't want to spend $450 to install a $25 part.

Beyond easy to do. Just unscrew the old one, scrw the new one in, and plug the wires in. Thats it..

So now I know my friendly BMW dealer looks at me as a mark.

Thanks for your help.

Dealer labor is almost always over-inflated. It would take me about five minutes to replace this item.
