New user, couple questions
Great website and I have enjoyed reading the forums.
I have a 1998 528i that is out of warranty and it needs brakes and two power steering hoses. The brakes and rotors seem pretty straight forward but not too sure about pwr steering hoses. Can someone give me some guidance for this job? Also, would the Zimmerman X drilled rotors be a worthwhile upgrade and if so, what brake shoes would be a good match for them. Thanks, Baron

Power steering hoses are easily changed, however you will need to drain the system, replace the hoses, re-fill and then bleed the sytem by turning the wheel lock to lock a few times to get the air out of the system.
Your best bet is to pick up abentley manual. THis will cover the procedure in detail.. |
