Question Check Coolant Level

Hello,
The Check Coolant Level warning light (2000 540i) comes on after a few minutes of driving. Coolant level is ok and even replaced the coolant level sensor. Engine is not overheating and don't have to add coolant at all. Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks,

I had a similar problem a while ago. My water pump finally gave up the ghost at 120k miles, with symptoms very similar to what you are describing. Just something to consider.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on my water pump.

It could also just be a faulty coolant level sender. I would check the sender on the reservoir tank and see if there is any corrosion on the terminals. If so, clean the terminals out with some contact cleaner.. I did this on my own car and it solved a random check light problem.
