Ambient Temp Sensor Problem

I ripped the wires out of the connector for the ambient temp sensor. Replaced the
connector w/ new wires, however the temp display still reads -40. Also, the A/C
has not worked since damaging the connector. I have energized the ignition and
left it on for a half hour w/ no temperature change. Could the temp sensor have been damaged when the wires were yanked out? No visible damage is seen.

All thoughts appreciated.

Dave

Dave,
You need to plug one in and see, did you solder the connections or crimp? make sure the wires are not touching each other in the harness.
