Trans program warning
I have a recently acquired 94 740i with a new transmission installed at a dealer approx 2 years ago by the previous owner. It has had the "Trans Program - Check Owner's Manual " message come on several times during the summer. A reputable mechanic can find no reason for the message and the codes can be reset and the car is fine for a while.
When the message appears the trans goes into "limp mode" at a reduced speed and performance. Any ideas or experience with this measage and / or transmission in the 7? Other than this the car is great - it is a rocket and a blast to drive! |

you either have a programming issue or a internally faulty transmission. check about a warranty on the tranny.
