what does the green switch do?

Hey I'm a visitor from the Porsche forum... my friend rolled into the shop today in his 1987? 6-series and mentioned he had a switch in it that he had NO IDEA what it did. It's a green switch just below the radio that pushes/flips side to side like the power switch for a computer monitor. Anyone know? Thanks Ian

I dont know the 6's interior well enough to say what it could be. Does it look like a factory switch?

It looks to be a factory switch-- I thought it could be for fog lights but the car has none... maybe they were taken off? Thanks

| What? |
I think it is a fog light switch. I think all BMWs came with fogs so I would guess that someone took them off the car and that is, or, was the switch.
