basically, this was a composite from stock (w/ k&n) to staintune, FIM, induct. i like the improvement throughout, except for the peak but oh well.

have you seen my results from the moto web site? it never made more power with the duct on the dyno, unless it ran a much leaner chip.

yes i have seen your info, that is why i shrug it off, from your experience it was to be expected. the top end does not feel like that on the road. i think you pretty much shared that opinion as well.
another thread asked the question of whether the FIM chip should be used with a k&n filter...any merit to that? repoe3

Hey,
What brought up the airhead smearing ? ![]() I like the old beasts, at least as long as the chassis have been stiffened up a bit. As for the K&N, it has been shown on Dynos not to offer any measureable flow increase. So, if you want a reuseable fitler, get one. It the idea is just to flow more, well, go ahead and get one, as there may be a small difference, but you won't be able to feel or measure it. Same was true of the nasty dated airhead K&Ns. Since I do keep those forever, it's a worthwhile maintenance item.

Damn, I was hoping the '65 was some ridiculous contraption I could blasphemy. Can't go slagging the Mrs. Get her a 900. The clutch slave options actually make them easier to operate. Of course, then she might be faster than you, and you couldn't have that

i thought the 65 hunnybunny bit was pretty cute personally, and rather obvious. glad to have given you the glimmer of sinking the boot in, even for a short while. always good fun.
i doubt she'll ever be faster than me, she's just not into it.
