ummm...my bike already operates in that manner. i start it all the time in neutral on the side stand. but thanks for the effort. i am trying to completing disble the operation of the cut-off. i know there are safety reasons for this, but lets say i remove the side stand completely for a track day...then what?

Be VERY careful....I lost a friend back in the 70's before there was such a protective device. He had the sidestand down and was'nt aware of it,tried to turn left, stand dug in ,lifted rear wheel off the pavement at speed........

i understand the liabilty of such a modification (unlike the bulk of our culture i am not a litigous person so i wont be in court after anyone should something happen). first bike, the ducati had no such operation and from the factory was a suicide stand, in regards to it kicked up on its own via the spring. a slight bump to the bike could unload the stand and whammo.

Hi Repoe
When you put the side stand down it either makes or breaks the switch. Therefore you need to short the two wires to the switch ie. connect them together, or you need to keep them apart. Hope that makes sense. Cheers |

On a friends bike he had something wrong with the neutral indicator so we had to rewire the connection through a switch. Now if he has any problems with the neutral indicator he just presses the switch and the bike thinks it is in neutral. Since it is pretty much the same circuitry you could probably do something like that.
