I got a demo ride on a Buell once. It blew up and spewed oil all over the rear wheel. I counted it as a blessing in disguise as at least I've still got all my teeth.

Prettier than a Beemer? I think ZX9s are cows!

At least a ZX9 doesn't look like a broken winged Teradactyl with a glass eye.

AS I said before, no class and unrefined.

Yea, kinda like the noisy cylinder heads on an R11S. Look out! You're listing to the right.

if I had a stable I'd have a Buell S1 Lightning, a Harley Road King, Honda XR, Yamaha R6, 1967 Triumph TR6, Vincent Black Shadow...

Gluton for punishment eh?

I guess size does matter ......

Unless we're talking about motorcycles of course. Where having a heavy, awkward, too tall, ugly assed bike with the cylinders pointing in the wrong direction is not very advantageous.

or my dad will beat up your dad.

And they'll both ride off into the sunset on a Beemer! The old man's bike!

My goodness. Don't you guys realize that you paid top dollar for the most boring production bike in existence?

How can you accuse the 11S of being boring? You ride a bike that is as bland as every other Jap four cylinder bike, along with all the other sheep who follow the trend for fear of being a little different or being picked on. I'd rather have a Buell.

You guys have just entered Cecil's version of the Thunderdome. Really...he's tireless about ragging anything but "god's own" ZX9.

Have fun fellas.

Thumbs up

boring, boring all this worthless discussions on Buell versus BMW. No wonder that US-ecocnomy is going down...when I see what adult people do all day long...
Why isnt'it good enough to be happy that at least we have the option to buy other than japanese bikes? Why don't you just go riding, have a beer and shut-up?

No you wouldn't. Trust me, I know.

You really think an R11S is a more exhilirating bike than a ZX9? Really? Ever ride a Japanese psycho bike? Character....baaa! That's stupid. Get something that works.

Romain, if I want to spend my time arguing with Cecil I will. You don't have to read these posts but I see you can't resist it.

Yes I've ridden plenty of Jap superbikes. If I want to be that exhilerated I can take my Honda on the race track and spend the day grinding away the bodywork. For 'serious' road riding the BMW is unbeatable. When you are older and wiser you will understand.

Cool

Wolfman:
I still have a '00 M2 and I rode it yesterday. Besides ridiculously easy wheelies and stump-pulling torque, when you crack the throtle open there is no sweeter badassch sound. The S is a better bike but the Buell is one badassch twin.
