Source for metric hardware?
Where do you guys buy your metric hardware? I want to buy a LARGE assortment of allen head screws and aircraft nuts so I can finally stop digging through all my coffee cans to find the wrong but almost the right, SAE hardware for my metric bikes.
Any suggestions?

Most of the web places are pricey. Actually, anything bought in quantities of less than 100 are pricey. You could spend thousands getting all the right sizes. You've seen the cabinets in my garage.
Anyway, the point is that in most cases, given shipping and a not very competitive web presence for this stuff, you can usually do just as well, or better, by buying from a local industrial fastener source. (in our case, Austin Bolt, etc etc) I'm thinking of going back and filling in some of my missing sizes. If you want to split a few boxes of 100 here or there, I'd be game.

Motion Pro has some assortments/sets and you can now order direct instead of thru yur dealer. I recently got an Optimate battery charger/maintainer from them that has become my favorite shop charger.

All those are good places, but some are crazy expensive, catering to guys with more bucks than sense. Same stuff available elsewhere or much less. McMaster is in fact GREAT. Best and quickest supplier I've dealt with. Drivewerks is great for assortments. And still cheaper than piecemeal at the local ACE or equiv. If you're willing to pay up front though, none of them touch quantity pricing from a bolt shop.
