Vanderlinde replacement part availability?
Hi,
Does anyone know if where you can get in the US replacement parts for a Vanderlinde exhaust. I need to replace the two rubber "bushings / grommets" that hold the cans in place under the seat. When I installed my pipe, I must not installed it square to the bushing, they got tweaked a bit, and I think the cans vibrate at speed because of it. I get a nasty vibration at the pillon seat over 80. Had my tires balanced numersous times, but it does not help much. That said, is there even a distributor in the US anymore for Vanderlinde? Thanks in advance, Robert M.

Robert,
AFAIK, there is no longer a distributor in the US for Vanderlinde. at one time one of the Toronto area dealers was the sole North American supplier. unfortunately, i cannot recall which dealer this was or if they still carry vanderlinde stuff. you may have better results going straight to the Manufacturer. Etienne Vanderlinde is very pleasant to deal with, although followthrough can be somewhat problematic. have you checked whether the stock BMW grommet will work? Good luck! Lance |

Lance,
Thanks for the link. Weird, they sold quite a few of the pipes here, and now no parts available locally. As for trying the BMW parts, not a bad suggestion, I will look into that. Regards, Robert

These were missing when I bought a used pipe, and I used the BMW parts with no problems.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I wrote Van der linde, and they sent out some grommets and I got them in less than 10 days from South Africa!!!
I can't get my local postman to get packages across town in Chicago that fast. Anyway, I heard via email from Mr. van der Linde himself, and he took care of it. I really think they handled this great, and I know when they come back to the States, I will consider their pipes first. Hopefully they are working one up for the 1200s. Robert
