Ralf, Ralf... We all know you were in Moab. After all I was the one that had to bail you out of jail after the Denny's incident with the Banditos buddies of yours.
(As a matter of fact, that sawed off shotgun from a different thread..., well thats a story for another time!)

Actually, yours was from the standard overlook, mine was from across the little gorge with a long telephoto. I was testing the sharpness. On a weighted down tripod, in the wind.

Is a turkey vulture a turkey that looks like a vulture or a vulture that looks like a turkey?

Maybe it a turkey that likes vultures.

Why do I always think of Olivia Newton-John when I see those type things??

KMoore, is there a D700 in your future?

I have thought about it, and your pictures are a very good motivation. Funny thing is, even though they are quite similar, I never really liked the D200, but love using the D300.

Steve, is this your local?

Is it a links course? Looks like an interesting lay out. Your mates look like a fun crew - do much trash talkin' on the course with these guys? I look at them and can't help but think a bit would take place.

I'm waiting on some new Titleists, excitedly.

Peace out

The course is very local and recent. All 18 holes only became active about a year ago. It's a private course, so it was my first time there. Most of the course seems to be atop a plateau that overlooks the whole bay area. Quite spectacular, actually. I don't think it's a links course, strictly-speaking, but I heard the designer is old-school and recently did the new course at St. Andrews, which is quite an honor. "Link":

They're all good guys to golf with- good attitudes; no grousing. The guy on the left is actually in the process of jamming his putter into the crotch of the middle guy, who's the member there.

Nevermind.

1Scottish : sand hills especially along the seashore
2: golf course ; specifically : a golf course on linksland

linksland: seaside terrain that is characterized by rolling hills of sand and is often used as the site of golf courses

heh heh

wow that is a beautiful course!

didn't find a card on the site to look at but it looks tough. I imagine if the weather got dirty it could make for an interesting day.

cheers!
