Hey RoLoo, that first goose seems like the patriarch of the family. Has a pipe, bow tie, tuxedo?

Two photos I took this morning. The famous windmills at Kinderdijk.

Thanks Ron, that's probably the highest compliment I've gotten for a photo yet. :)

Bill, these were shot with my D800 and the underrated AF-S 24-120/f4.

Ha ha! That's what I get for looking at Ron's goose pictures with a little laptop this week. I thought they were a real gaggle of geese....

Those windmill shots are amazing TM!

That 24-120mm f/4 lens got the worst reviews when it first came out. Not sure why, as everyone has warmed up to it now and it's really popular. Probably some snobbery on the part of the reviewers who wanted f/2.8 or something. I had one for a while, but sold it, but only because I'd bought the 24-70mm years before and it was redundant. So, then I bought something else... The 24-120mm f/4 vr and a D600 would be a great combo for someone.....

Seeing the burnt forest I can't help but believe that this is the natural order of things. Just because man comes in and builds/plays in the area doesn't men that the natural must stop because we don't like to see natures renewal/house cleaning process. I remember the "controlled burn" in Arizona/ New Mexico a few year back that turned into a wildfire. We just are powerful enough to totally control nature.

I was thinking of the TOR crew and your living quarters when I took this shot the other night. Not my usual, but what the hey...
