You have to be a dealer to buy direct. Kneedraggers.com can't get them either. Anyone know of a source in the US to get one?

I bought a PUIG today from Indysuperbikes.com It does not show up on the website but if you call them they can order them. Rumor has it I can pick it up tomorrow (indysuperikes.com is based about 100 ft from where I work)

I'm not sure if they can really get it that fast. I will find out tomorrow. Price was under $80 I think.

I just picked up my PUIG windscreen from indysuperbikes. Cost after tax was under $80. Ordered it yesterday, picked it up today. No complaints whatsoever. I'm going to try and shop there more often.

Indy Superbikes

I checked their website and they don't have the BMW screens on there-
Did they have it in stock? Was it for your R12s?

I ordered from OFD 2 weeks ago, but called them today and they might have only placed the order with Puig this monday...

I've been trying to get one since about mid June, tried two different places and waited waited and finally had to just settle for a refund because of backorder issues. I sent an email to indysuperbikes.com and have my fingers crossed....

Thanks Ron.....found those missing brainbytes in the loose change drawer with the pics. Also from your ride it seems this would be a good long trip shield to have.

Puig install:
I am very happy with the overall look of the windscreen. This is the smoke color next to the stock R1200S screen. My only gripe is the mounting tabs on the Puig screen are not nearly as nice as the BMW screen.

Here is another shot of the tabs on the two screens. The Puig tabs are crap and the BMW tabs are gorgeous.

One more shot of the tabs.

Here is a comparison of the profile of the two screens. The Puig seems to have at least 2 inches on the stock screen.

After less than 5 minutes of labor, the Puig was mounted to the bike. Despite my gripes on the Puig tabs, the screen seems very secure when mounted. I think the Smoke color looks very good on the Yeller bike, but I wonder if I should have looked at a Carbon color. Below are a few shots of the bike. Despite my disappointment in how the tabs look, it seems secure and fits the bike well. Once the weather clears up I will write about the wind protection ( or lack thereof)

Too true.

Having a black bike I cant decide on Dark Smoke or Black. If I went black, could there be an obvious distinction between the colour of the screen and the bike colour (not matching). BTW - If blue is available atm, would that look too pimped out? I like how the red screen on the Buell Xb tints everything red underneath it and wondered if the blue would do the same, make the dials, handlebar etc look blue from certain angles etc??

...the Puig tabs may not look completely bullit proof, but they work as good as the OEM tabs...

...and how often do you remove, and install a screen...
