COmputer question
Hey, anyone out there know of some way that the R12S can have the computer keep the lights off -- like for a track day practice session--- without bulb removal, etc.? Someone mentioned that the GS has that capability with some certain sequence of buttons pushed at starting or something like that...
What do you guys out there do regarding that for track day prep? thanks, dp

To turn your low beam off-
Press the turn signal Cancel button for 5 seconds, then press the Right turn signal button for 5 seconds. Presto, lights off. To turn it back on, you're supposed to press the High Beam button, but haven't tried that part. I don't have the software to get into the brains of the bike and try it that way.

That sure sounds right. Turn the key on, do that button dance and start her up. It resets itself after you shut it down so you have to do it over again each session. I don't recall if it also shut down the tail light....but the low beam for sure.
Do you have an R12S, blkduc1? I don't see it in your sigfile. ![]()
