North, to Alaska...

Best bike I ever had. Enjoy!
|
I'm glad you are beginning to deal with the aging process Sergio.:D I still prefer the more refined accoutrement of the RT.;)
|
You will soon become a very powerful Sith. Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth....Sergio.
|
Cool runnings....now show us pics of the rest of the machine...
Brock |
Shreddr would probably love to buy your old instrument cluster!
|
Nah, Steve... he still has the bike with THAT particular cluster... it'll turn into the Red Headed Stepchild, though... I am sure!
Bubba, for as long as he keeps his (barely legal) fiance around, there will be no "aging process"... Yes, Sergio has been hit hard by the GS bug... turned into yet another happy customer of SD BMW MC... purdy bike, he has there... Ought to be fun and I can now see out trip to TDF developing a tad bit faster than before... |
Forgot a picture ... what's a post without pic's :D

Funny, Jack... Sergio has a very similar lineup now... GS instead of GSA, though...
|
I must say these two bikes are worlds apart in terms of ergos and function. I used my 11S as my everyday do-all bike and the GS will surpass that I'm sure but the HP2S will stay. There's just nothing like it!
Bubba, my aging process is like that of a fine Californian wine, better with age, at least that's what my divergent mind thinks and lately it's been full of stellar thoughts. Ralf, thank you for being there to nudge me along. I must admit TDF sounds very appealing especially riding to my birthplace... I just need to figure out if it would be both relationship and career suicide.* I'll post pics of the new stable in time, want to 'hike the appalachian trail' first. *:p |

After I get a beater bike to use for LA traffic, I'll one day spend the coinage on the Akra system for the HP2S. I'd love to hear that engine sing with those cans. :D I love the GSA but I can barely get the bike off the sidestand - what can I say, it's my short Armenian stature. Amazing looking bikes though! http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/ima...lies/thumb.gif |

But the best of both worlds ;) I also used my former 11S as a everyday bike, hollyday donkey, track, tour and duo bike ... and nothing wrong with that, loved that bike ! Yep, the GS/A can be replaced by an other one, newer, better or a compleet other bike ... but the HP2S will stay till the end :D |
Well done, Sergio. The GS bug can strike as fast as some of the flu viruses out there. The difference is you actually feel better when it does!
BTW: looks like you may have a headlight out... |

...hey Jack ; why that little orange flag on the HP...? ...is it, so that we can recognize you between all those similar looking HP Sport mopeds...?? ;) ...it looks a bit like this... http://www.halfords.nl/Images/Catalog/Medium/809353.jpg |
Bienvenido!
|
Film script found in Hollywood, Ralf speaking........."Sergio, I am your Father"
|
'The force is strong with this one... come to the dark side'
|
Nice, Sergio I maybe going to the Dark side too ! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...eys/icon26.gif

i ran into a local Iron Butt buddy of mine who has been doing all his hypermileage on an LT, he told me he just scored a new GSA and is converting one of the saddle bags to an aux fuel tank. he was telling me how much pull the twin has, I said "i know"
i sat on a GSA at the dealer and it was just so fricking big, and I am 6' i just couldn't see myself getting too excited about it, but perhaps I can ride my friends and see what all the fuss is about. of course if i ever got one, I would leave it totally stock :D |
Very cool
Nice set of bikes... looks like about all types of riding are now covered.... wise man....SmileWavy
|
Congrats Sergio! A couple of excellent bikes to have. I hope you have alot of adventures and fun with the new steed SmileWavy
|
Nice, I hear they like electronic gadgets attached to them.

Here is our suave and debonair hero, practicing "dry" on his new seat.... before he had a bike for it, mind you:

What's that chair on the left. Looks like a bench seat out of an Impala or Corvair...
(Is that next on the list...) :) |
School Bus seat???
|
Oh man, how do I get this thread buried to the bottom of the page??
|
Bump for a new GS brother.
Come on up Serg, let's get it dirty! Might want to get yourself some nastier tires though... ;) |
Request a sticky...
|
:p Bump to the top!!
|
Bastiges!
Doh, what am I doing!?!?! |
Rofl!!
|
Argh Roger! Ralf, Craig, Bill, Rob... the lott of them... bad influences as is... you need not list to them! Look at what it's done to me so far. I now have an R1200GS and the ink wasnt even dry on the paperwork and Ralf was/is temping me with riding to Patagonia. It would be both career suicide (to leave my clients for such a long time) and relationship suicide (not sure if my fiancee would still be 'my fiancee' when all was said and done). But now you've gone an stickied this... the tragedy! Be kind to the other, more thoughtful members of the board who have yet to click the link... let this thread die! Plus, it's soooo OT it belongs ... well... not at the top!
|
If you can survive a trip to Ralf's apartment, you can survive Patagonia.
|
Ouch....
