How are you guys getting in there to adjust preload on the front?
Damned if I can get any leverage sticking my arm in there with all the goodies.
Are you sport susp tuner types taking off a tupper side or both or...???  Thanks K

My solution was to cut off the spanner wrench handle, then cut a cheap 3/8 socket to get just the square section, I drilled a hole and welded the socket section over it. This allows me to insert a 3/8 ratchet for a handle and by pivoting it I can get about 2/3 of a turn on the adjuster ring with out resetting the spanner.
Worked well for a buddies track bike, I think it was a kawi 636, I just inserted a 24" extension into it and reached the ring from under the seat, no knuckle banging involved.

You could just take it off adjust it and put it back on. The front shock is really pretty easy to pull.

I cheated, I told Ohlins how I ride & how fat I am & they preset it when rebuilding the shock. It was right on. Probably doesn't help you any though. I'd take it off to adjust preload. If you're trying to keep a stock shock from bottoming by adjusting it you probably won't have much success, I know I didn't, gave up & went to Ohlins.

If it's a 12, taking the charcoal cannister off makes it way easier.

i have found that you can usually just turn the spring by hand to get the preload you want, and then tighten up the locknut with your tool of choice. a rubber mallet and long drift works well.
