a customer gave me 6 cans of VB cold today, tucked em into my panniers with the mail

very nice gesture - though I'll leave those in the fridge for when the freeloaders come over, that stuff tastes like it was sucked out of the carpet at the front bar, the morning after then rekegged

I'm enjoying a nice Coors regular right now while I unpack my new Montrail trail running shoes from Sierra Trading Post.

Thanks for the laugh, that is my new description for crappy beer, I have been using water strained through an old burlap feed bag for a few years, time for a change.

How long can it possibly take a normal human to open a shoe box?

time spent to open box is in direct correlation to how many beers are consumed before the challenge is leapt upon.
could be 2 minutes, could take an hour.
and there will always be some folks who never achieve success.

I have a fond spot for Coors.
In the early 70's, Coors wasn't available in the East.
In 1973, riding my Kawasaki H2 west on Colorado 40 with my open face helmet and Pikes Peak looming in the distance, I had a 16 oz. Coors between my legs taking occasional sips while seeing the Rockies for the first time.
When I finished that one, I took the 2nd from out of my leather jacket and enjoyed it just as much. Those were my first 2 Coors.
I should mention earlier in Kansas, I met guy on a blue flake Norton Commnado headed East. After a quick hash pipe behind the Stuckey's, I crossed the border and got my Coors.
The mountains were vivid..........

oh man, Coors is such a waste of good Rocky Mntn water. its basically just Colorado's version of Bud, which is the beer version of cowpiss.
that is the true sacrilage- wasting that water, when it could just as easliy become something outstanding, like

or even this magnificent little creature:

A lot of these micro brewery offerings have a pretty crappy aftertaste, not that I've tried hundreds, but that does seem to be a common trait.
How do you feel about Bud Light?............................................ .

BL?- crappy aftertaste, combined with a crappy beforetaste as well as a crappy during taste.

hops is a bit of an acquired taste, but once you get around to it, along with quality malts- man, there is no turning back.

My acquired taste has been devoted to vodka. Less liquid, better taste.....

Vodka.. Makers Mark, Chivas Regal are all nice to drink... But none of them are really made to drink in the Garage while tinkering. For recreational drinking there is no substitute for beer.

Seriously, I'm a giant micro brew fan, and used to have a bit of involvement in the industry, but _many_ DO have a bad aftertaste, usually from a bacterial infection. Often hinting of fermented cabbage (similar bacteria breaking down vaguely similar starches and fiber)
It won't kill you, but it finishes as bad or worse than a BL.

BL is for when one has run out of water. I had some before my last 5k, but I was very thirsty.
Wouldn't normally recommend it if something valuable isn't on fire.
