that mid-frame is gonna be a beatch! I was thinking about the black scheme, but I am kind of digging the white after getting off the black. my time and energy is going into the top end!

Ya I get it. Went back and forth a bunch of times. But ****, that is just badass. My other 2 bims are black so I feel like its natural. I'm saving the top end until Shreddr can blaze the trail.... But JMJ, a twist is all I need to see the light. Can't imagine more. But more may be just plain good....In fact I'm sure it is.

Fiddley more than Beathcy

Since I want to leave as much of the plumbing (throttle cables, injector wiring, air box, brake lines etc) intact a bit of wiggling was required to get it off. Nothing too bad though....always wanted some front spline lube maintenance anyhow...

Thank you, so far so good. I'm leaning to powdercoating the frame for the durability. I'm going to do the blue forged wheels at the same time and plan to use them on the R1200S. Someone told me that powdercoating frames is bad because it doesn't breathe and the steel can rot from the inside out....I don't buy it and I think that the frame is powdercoated as it is.

Although I think the rear sets and the bottoms of the sliders would be cool to have black I'm not sure its worth the extra effort....maybe see how this goes for now. Besides the forks are sure to get abuse and look crappy with chipped paint. This one is meant to be ridden...

Whenever I see a pic like this it reminds me of the scene... for some reason...
