New and Improved Sig!

Check it and see!

15 minutes to Alice's Restaurant, and a new chapter in life.

Oh yeah.

Thanks guys! Yes, we have wanted to come west for reasons both personal and professional for a while. We have some customers out here and I have always had it in my heart to live in the Bay area - I love it here and always have.

I had a meaningful health scare early this year, and in between knowing something was way wrong and having surgery to fix it, I had a few weeks to contemplate my future. Flew out to Tucson and picked up my VStrom and rode it up here via Death Valley (the irony of that JUST occurred to me). During all that helmet time I resolved that if I came out of it all OK then I would get on with the bucket list in earnest. Mrs. The Wife was all in favor, and so we put the house on the market, found a great spot to live and another great spot to site a west coast office of my company and here we are. My furniture arrives on Thursday and my motorcycles are all nearby.

It feels fantastic, like a great decision. I do not have a shade of a second thought. Carpe diem and all that.

Nils, all the best on the Left Coast. It can be a challenge living in Cali but overall, advantages outweigh the liabilities, IMHO.

Nice sig, although you should come clean and relist it as Felton-tucky.

Hi neighbor, lets meet Tues. and see what's hiding in my garage.

Nils, you are going to enjoy your new Diggs.

When I founded San Jose BMW back in the early 70's, lived in Boulder Creek, my daily commute was up 9 to Skyline, Skyline to Alices, down 84 to Woodside and on the new 280 to San Jose.

No Cops then.

Len you squid, you should know, it's Bonny Hoon where I live. Felton-tuckey is where all the rich folks from Aptos bring their children to go to school :-).

Yeah, Dean, I can't quite believe the riding that is right outside my door. I am a bit further than the 15 minutes I initially thought I was from Alices', but it's all great riding. I was just up there for lunch yesterday on the CBX. What a commute you had back-when. Holy cow, that'll tune you up every day.

I'm about 10 miles up into the Santa Cruz mountains in Bonny Doon, and it's a sweet little micro climate, above the coastal marine layer and it's been sunny all day every day since we got here 3 weeks ago.

Thank you again for the intro to the San Jose BMW folks, I will be in touch with them in the next week or so as I sort out a glitch with my wife's F650GS.

And Len, a public 'Thanks' to you again for hosting my 1100 for the last 6 months. I'll fish it out of your garage this week, promise.

N.
