I have the slightly taller OEM screen on my bike with an aero trim. I'm 6'2". Little bit of helmet noise, but no buffeting on my helmet. Excess noise is drained out by loud rock music

Works very nicely for me.

Installed the 7jurock last week and happy to report this is the windscreen for me at 5'11" with a Sargent seat. Moved the wind down to my chest and turbulance above that is minimal (doesn't hurt that SR1 is about as aerodynamic as it gets). Looks great too. I'll post up a pic soon.

hellfishtat, your spot on. If you listen to music whilst riding, it's horrible. I've tried the SMH5 with the upgraded speakers in both my SR1 and C2 and the sound quality is terrible. Given my results in what are supposed to be a couple of the quietest helmets on the market, in-helmet speakers are a joke for music. How are they selling so many of these? Do people just really love to talk on their phone while riding or need audible turn by turn? Maybe it's mainly for 2up riders to communicate.... but what it's not is for people that like to listen to music.

For anyone that finds this thread curious about the 7jurock screens, this is what it looks like. For what it's worth, I've since bought a Ztechnik screen and didn't like it as much (moved the wind right back into my helmet shield as it's a couple inches taller) so I've refitted the 7jurock as it keeps the wind low and let's the helmet do it's job on it's own to deal w/ the oncoming (non-turbulant) air...

50% off? That's a steal.
I looked for almost a year for my size and on sale - no dice. I got mine from Max BMW on eBay for $100 off. Best helmet I've ever owned and worth every penny of the $900.
Is yours the SR1 Technology?

Nah, it's just the solid gloss black (which is what I wanted). Luckily I have a small noggin' so the "small only" revzilla had remaining was 50% off. The look and build quality is breathtaking, but the fit and wind noise has taken some getting used to. After wearing my old C2 to compare I can honestly say I love the Sr1 and hope it's lasts a while.

I love my new bike, but hate the buffeting. I can get some kind of double bubble screen for 90AUD.
I'm thinking of cutting it down so my head is in clean air. If l sit really upright i get just clean wind, which l'm cool with as l've only had unfaired bikes, and plug up my ears. Some more wind on the chest would be good also to hold me up a bit.
The screens are called airblade racing screens. Anyone have experience with these?
In the end l will probably cut it down to where in covers the instruments like a bikini screen.
I find it odd that a company that pioneered fairings could get it so wrong on the 1100s.

I'd say cutting it down is your best option. Per the aforementioned thread, i was trying to get some clean air to my helmet and went from the oem touring screen, to a ZTechnik V Stream, to a 7jurock 12" screen. The 7jurock is the best of the lot, but still not perfect as i get a bit of "dirty air flowing right up under my chin. If i cut the 12" screen down to 8 or 10" it would have me in clean air all together. Good luck and keep us posted with your findings.
