Things To Do While The Engine Is Out...
This weekend I will be starting the process of removing the engine from my Boxster, and once the replacement engine arrives I figured I would replace the following items:
- AOS - RMS - IMS Depending on the condition of the clutch and etc, replace those as needed. Thus while I have the motor out, what other things should I do? Thanks guys, Brian My Porsche Boxster YouTube Channel |

A new clutch should be a given. Why put a used one in when you already have it out?

Spark plugs, serpentine belt, any iffy hoses. I put a spin on oil filter adaptor, an underdrive crank pulley, flywheel bolts, water pump (oem). New front motor mount. New rear exhaust, headers* (not for auto. trans.) coolant, of course oem. New boots on the cv joints.
*headers may not be compatible with AZ smog testing.
