gas cap noise revisited - remote mirror?
Hi gang. Still trying to trace an intermittent noise on the right front side of my Boxster S. How can I check the motor, or whatever it is, that drives the remote mirrors?
Any chance this sound is related to ABS? I'm close to taking it in to have it looked at so I thought I would try here one more time first. Thanks, Joe |

If you remove the plastic "triangle" at the leading edge of the door, you will see the power cable for the power mirror.
To actually remove the mirror, look at the underside of the mirror "pod". You will see a hole. You take a small screwdriver in that hole and rotate a cam-lock to unlatch the mirror glass from the motor. The motor then comes out with three screws. AFJuvat
