obc speed gong, is it just a faint beep?
Hi there. ..I finally installed a second toggle switch in order to have full obc function, namely the enabling of the speed limiter (gong) .
It is working, but the gong is more of a beep and is barely audible. Is that how it's supposed to sound? I do like that once you exceed the set limit, the obc shunts to the speed limit setting--and then returns back to the former obc function that was previously on screen. And to have this second switch working, a ground wire is also necessary for this switch, i discovered, but as already described by wayne. The main question--is the gong just a little beep--I can't hear the beep if I have the radio on. thanks, |

Mine goes gong, but it's certainly not super-loud...

hmmmm...wayne, does your obc function with toggle switches (i.e. was it a modification?) or is it factory-installed with stalk? I'm wondering if I've got all the connections squared away properly, or if my 2001 model s is not equipped to make the 'gong' sound.
