There's a fuse that controls the power seats (it was missing on my project car when I bought it, and of course the seat was jammed all the way up to the front of the wheel). You might want to try pulling the fuse and leaving it out - that might help to erase the memory. It sounds like it's stuck in there for some reason.

Anybody figure this out.
I have the same issue. All controls work, including memory. But when ever I lock and unlock the caer, the druiver seat goes all the way up and forward. After unlocking, I have tio hold the mem 1 button to get it bacjk to my setting. So what I did was set it where I wanted, then pulled the dr seat fuse. Only problem is that I have to put the fuse back to adj the seat. Does anyone know where the logic resides for this action? TIA. |

I used to have trouble with a similar seat feature on a totally different car. I think these systems have a device for detecting the position of the seat, kind of like the window indexing. On the other non-P car I could restore functionality by adjusting the seat all the way back and holding the switch for a couple seconds after the seat reached the end of travel. Then I did the same thing going forward. Don't know if it will work on a Boxster.

you have to go through and erase all the memory settings for some reason, can't just set one new one
