Can 5 spd replace 6 spd in 2000 "S"?
Hi, will a 5 speed trans bolt up in my 2000 boxster "S"? (6 spd). Same clutch, bell housing bolt pattern etc.? I appreciate any info. Thanks,

Yes, but the half shafts and rear carrier hubs are different between a 5 and 6 speed..................

The clutch is a little different especially the disc as it has a different spline pattern. Otherwise, not sure about the CV joints and axle length. I know the 6 speed CV's use 10mm bolts vs. 8mm for the 5 speed so that's an issue. Slight difference in the shift cables, too? Hmm....
